Responsibilities:
- Work to accomplish best practices and compliance of human resources function in accordance with legal and state, federal, and local contract requirements, company policies, strategic plan, and board of directors.
- Define objectives, priorities and deadlines, and assist leadership and employees to enhance their leadership and positive contributions
- Contribute to strategic goals of organization
- Responsible for direction, consultation, training and dissemination of personnel related information
- Ensure state and federal HR rules/policy/procedures abided by and communicated throughout the organization
- Research, analyze, revise, and create policies and procedures for legal, performance standards, and best business practices involving human resource issues that support the organization’s strategic direction
- Review each program’s Emergency Preparedness plans annually to ensure accuracy. Ensure review and training of processes completed at each site. Update as necessary
- Standardize and monitor human resources processes according to policies throughout the organization.
- Research and oversee the annual evaluation, classification, and rating of job positions, benefits, and compensation.
- Respond to staff grievances and complaints, following processes and other legally mandated guidelines. Perform related investigations and documentation when warranted.
- Collect HR-driven data and submit required reports necessary for contract compliance, strategic goals, and workforce monitoring as needed for contract and legal compliance for items such as turnover.
- Recruit, prepare interview process, and onboard all leadership-level positions
- Responsible for maintaining a highly engaging culture that motivates employees and fosters an environment with high levels of teamwork, accountability, and communication to employees.
- Participate in short- and long-term planning, budgeting, and program review for the organization in areas such as employee engagement, staffing, recruitment, and retention.
- Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources Department staff.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or applicable field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a human resources strategic leadership role
- Ideally looking for a candidate with professional HR certifications (PHR) and/or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional certification (SHRM) but open to experience.
- Experience within a HRIS and someone technical sound
- Prior experience working in an HR leadership role within a non-profit highly sought after but not required.
- Dynamic individual, with the ability to follow processes/procedures while also being a strategic partner.
- Caring individual with a passion and empathy for giving back to the community in which the organization serves.
Salary : $82,000 - $95,000
