We are seeking an Inventory Manager based in Cleveland, Ohio. This role primarily involves analyzing and managing inventory data, creating and monitoring order management processes, and handling procurement tasks. This role is critical to maintaining efficient operations within our organization, providing valuable insights to optimize ordering materials and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing a new process for ordering materials to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Analyzing inventory data to ensure the new order management process is working correctly
- Managing inventory and executing some ordering tasks as required
- Owning the new order management process, which includes handling SKUs, lead times, re-ordering items, etc.
- Using Microsoft Excel extensively to manage and analyze data, particularly using features like Pivot and v-lookup
- Providing recommendations for improvements based on data analysis
- Ensuring the maintenance of adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient procurement
- Leveraging procurement management skills to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrable knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Understanding of procurement processes and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- BSc/BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field.
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
- An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of demand forecasting and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Proven ability to manage and maintain inventory control systems.
- Experience with inventory management software is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to interpret financial data as it relates to inventory management.
