As a Junior Accountant specializing in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment to vendors.
- Verify and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and delivery receipts.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and credit limits.
- Prepare and process expense reports in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end AP closing procedures.
- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to optimize payment processes.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Prepare and send customer invoices promptly and accurately.
- Monitor and record incoming payments, ensuring proper allocation to customer accounts.
- Follow up on past-due invoices and work with customers to resolve payment issues.
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate AR records.
- Generate monthly AR aging reports and assist with collections efforts.
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end AR closing procedures.
General Accounting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and budgets.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial audits and provide necessary documentation as requested.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documents.
