Robert Half is looking for an organized Network Administrator to join the efforts of a prominent firm. To excel in this position, you should be a results-oriented problem solver who is passionate about establishing and sustaining a stable network infrastructure. Supporting the business, you will develop, administer and maintain the network infrastructure by making sure the enterprise systems and related components are secure, have integrity, and are highly available. The software, hardware, network security programs, and data storage systems you will work with change frequently. A key part of this role will be participating in ongoing education to remain up to date and fully informed. This is a contract to hire opportunity is for a Network Administrator who will work in the Mayville, Wisconsin, area.
Key responsibilities
- Analyzing and fixing local area networks / wide area network performance, connectivity and related network issues
- Organizing and executing upgrades to network software and hardware
- Managing the operation of all local area networks and services related to wide area networks, following company policies and procedures
- Applying LAN/WAN security, antivirus and spam control measures
Requirements
- Exceptional skills in troubleshooting, analytics and diagnostics
- Proficiency with network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN/WAN operations
- 3 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of Cisco Certified Network
- Demonstrated knowledge of WANs (Wide Area Network)
- Prior experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- MS Windows Server 2012 experience preferred
- Strong familiarity with Migration Strategy
- Server Migration experience highly desired
- Foundational knowledge in Cisco Hardware
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
- Microsoft Exchange Server experience highly valued
- Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco UC
- Good understanding of SANs (Storage Area Networks)
- Adeptness in Cisco Networking
- Earlier work involving Microsoft Office 365
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Expertise in SQL
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Technologies
- Deep understanding of Cisco Firewall
- General familiarity with Cisco Routers
- Background working with Microsoft Windows Server
- Adeptness in Windows 7 Migration
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco Technologies
- General familiarity with information network security
- Cisco ICM experience
- Comprehension of Microsoft SQL Server
- Foundational knowledge in network migration
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 experience desired
- Practical knowledge of Network Security
- Microsoft Virtual Server experience highly preferred
- Previous experience working with Storage Resolutions
- Experience in production environments and willingness to be on-call
