Part time Desktop Support Analyst

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an IT Support in San Diego, California, 92108, United States. This will be 12-15 hours weekly, can be done two full days as well if that works best. This role is vital to our team as you will be responsible for setting up and managing user accounts and permissions, testing security measures, and monitoring day-to-day computer performance. You will also play a key role in establishing our organization's computer system to meet specific business goals.

Responsibilities:

Set up and manage user accounts and permissions to allow access to the network

Uphold and test security measures to block unapproved access

Develop a maintenance plan to prevent unexpected system failures

Establish the organization's computer system to align with specific business goals

Monitor daily computer performance to ensure optimal operation

Set up PCs and provide desktop support as needed

Utilize skills in Desktop Hardware and Desktop Support to troubleshoot and resolve issues

Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications as needed.

Requirements

The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar IT support roles.
Proficiency in Desktop Hardware is necessary for the role. The candidate should be able to handle, repair, and maintain various types of desktop hardware.
Strong skills in Desktop Support are required. The candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve software issues, install and update software, and provide user support and training.
Outstanding problem-solving skills are required as the candidate will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Excellent communication skills are necessary as the candidate will interact with various users and teams within the organization.
The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, depending on the situation.
Knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, MacOS and Linux, is beneficial.
Basic understanding of network systems and their functionality is required.
The candidate should be able to document and maintain records of issues and their resolutions.
A bachelor's degree in a field related to computer science or information technology is preferred.
