Robert Half has an opening for a Part Time Payroll Clerk (25-35 hours a week) at a growing company in the Morris Plains, New Jersey area whose main responsibility will be to support the Payroll/HR department in a number of duties. This advanced position is best suited for a self-starter looking to further their career and work with an industry leader. The ideal candidate would be able to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk will tackle challenges in data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is offered on a long-term contract / temporary basis.
Your responsibilities
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- File, scan, fax, and perform other clerical duties as required
- Assist in entering and maintaining employee information (new hires, terminations/changes) in ADP
- Assist in preparing and reconciling payrolls semi-monthly
- Assist HR department with administering Paid Time Off System
- Run any necessary reports to assist HR/Finance department
- Assist with benefits related matters
- Provide additional support to the HR department and assist in other duties assigned
