The Payroll department of one of our Energy/Natural Resources clients has an opening for a Payroll Clerk who is excited about the opportunity to support the team's objectives. Based in the The Woodlands, Texas area, this permanent position is a great opportunity. Your time will be spent on tasks such as entering data, reconciling timecards, distribution paychecks, and producing statements for various departments. This position requires a high level of communication to work with internal team members, as well as outside customers.
What you get to do every single day
- Maintain office efficiency by fulfilling clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Maintain payroll information by contacting employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
- Deliver instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
- Produce and run custom reports
- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Retrieve reports as instructed by administering and/or distributing
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3 years of previous payroll experience
- Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Full Cycle Payroll experience
- ADP Workforce Now experience
- SAP experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
- Prior Payroll software experience preferred
- Outstanding data entry skills
- Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
