In this role, your duties will include supporting the Payroll department in a variety of duties, along with data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. You should have the capability to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. Your responsibilities
- Obtain timesheet approvals by contacting employees via email and phone
- Assist in office efficiency by carrying out clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Retrieve reports as instructed by administering and/or distributing
- Instruct and train employees in the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
- Be able to create and run custom reports
- Confirm data entered into spreadsheets and the payroll system is accurate
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Skilled in Payroll software
- Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Union payroll experience desired
- Certified Payroll experience
- Well-founded grasp of garnishments payroll
- Proven knowledge of Weekly Payroll
- Knowledge of Sage Software
- General familiarity with construction
- Experience with Payroll Taxes
- In-house payroll experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
- 2 years of previous payroll experience
- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
