Robert Half is looking to fill the position of a Payroll Clerk for one of our clients to join their dynamic, quickly-expanding team. This position will support the Payroll department at an industry leader with a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. In order to successfully perform as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team, a candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Hazel Crest, Illinois area and is a long-term contract / temporary employment role.Major responsibilities- Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements- Build and run custom reports- Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals- File, scan, fax, and perform other clerical duties as required- Enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Compile a system of administering and distributing reports
