Payroll Manager

This long-term contract / contract employment opportunity is based in the Geismar, Louisiana area.Your responsibilities- Monitor all internal and external audits- Give information and data to senior executives and cross-functional business leaders and respond to any questions- Develop ideas with fellow members of senior Finance leadership team- Maintain internal safeguards by managing record keeping and control systems- Complete payroll analysis when needed- Oversee pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies- Recommend, lead, and work on projects to continually review and improve current processes- Lead payroll staff as well as operations- Recruit and retain a team and lead it to success- Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis- In this position, you will work on weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Interpret pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensure right amounts/deductions are applied to the earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
