Major responsibilities
- Ensure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
- Ensure reports are distributed as instructed
- Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Maintain employee confidence by delivering instruction and training to employees regarding the function of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
- Gather data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
- Be able to create and run custom reports
Requirements
- Previous payroll experience
- Eagerness to master new systems
- Expertise in payroll
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Outstanding data entry skills
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Prior Payroll software experience preferred
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
