Payroll Specialist

Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our client's team in Sherwood, Oregon. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks related to payroll processing, benefits reconciliation, and other accounting tasks for our employees. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to full cycle payroll processing.
• Manage the payroll schedules for three different groups of employees.
• Perform union reporting tasks and handle issues related to two bargaining agreements.
• Process and reconcile benefits for employees.
• Carry out payroll-related journal entries as part of accounting tasks.
• Handle bank deposits related to payroll.
• Prepare and submit PERS reporting.
• Use accounting software (Paycom) to perform various tasks.
• Handle tasks independently.
• Address any issues related to the Paycom software.
