What you get to do every single day
- Oversee the production of all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs. Interpret pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensure appropriate amounts/deductions are applied correctly to various earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
- In charge of payroll staff and operations
- Oversee pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies
- Make current processes better by proposing, heading, and working on projects
- Track financial trends by executing payroll analysis
- Work with fellow members of senior Finance leadership team
- Produce internal safeguards by overseeing record keeping and control systems
- Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
- Take responsibility for internal and external audits
