We are in search of a Planner to be a part of our team in the Machinery Manufacturing industry, based in BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky. This role will be responsible for directing materials planning and scheduling for operations, utilizing data analytics and decision-making skills to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and determine target dates for receiving materials based on the master schedule & MRP requirements.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure materials are available and a robust schedule is in place to ship customer orders on time.
- Use the ERP system to analyze stock, units on order, future requirements, and other production-related data.
- Work with other departments to determine the status of materials and expedite the flow of materials as needed.
- Review overdue orders, determine the cause of delay, and initiate corrective action.
- Monitor project status reports to maintain on-time performance of the master production schedule.
- Utilize data analytics and statistical modeling to determine adequate material stocking levels to support customer needs.
- Act as a liaison between departments to coordinate workflow.
- Work proactively with Purchasing to improve quality and processes, and to reduce shortages and delays.
- Coordinate with other team members to execute daily MRP tasks.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the machinery manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in analyzing and reducing manufacturing costs
- Comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing industry and its dynamics
- Experience in master scheduling and production planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
