What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at Robert Half?
The Controller is responsible for planning and coordinating budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. This position will provide financial analysis, guidance and direction to the company and provide recommendations for transforming process and improving business performance.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee all accounting operations
- Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting and Job Costing, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Complete financial analysis on a regular basis
- Directly extract data and generate reports for the company ERP system
- Write and distribute periodic financial statements
- Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
- Lead month-end and year-end close process
- Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting framework
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Coordinate with Corporate Finance Team to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and adhere to policies and procedures
- Communicate with team members to maintain and improve accounting processes
- Manage the payroll process
- Oversee the cash flow process
- Document journal entries and reconciliation
- Other duties supplied by management
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
· At least three years in a manufacturing accounting role required
· Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems required
· Experience processing and managing payroll required
· Job cost accounting experience required
Keys-Prior supervisory experience required, Job Cost, Month End Close, Financial Statement Preparation, Epicor Erp
Salary : $110,000 - $115,000
