A growing Manufacturing company is in need of an efficient Plant/Cost Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis in the Woodstock, Georgia area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. In addition to a strong compensation and benefits package, this position offers a great long-term potential. This Senior Accountant role is based in Woodstock, Georgia with a company in the Construction/Contractor field.
Your responsibilities
- Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
- Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
- Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner

Requirements
- Exceptional time management skills preferred
- 3 years of manufacturing accounting experience
- Cost Accounting
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
- BA/BS in Accounting
- High attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of month end closings
- Proficient in ERP systems
- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
