Description
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will act as a liaison between IT development groups and business units, evaluating new applications, system requirements, and evolving business needs to recommend appropriate solutions. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the IT industry.
Responsibilities:
Act as the key point of contact between IT development groups and business units for the development and implementation of new systems
Evaluate new applications, system requirements, and developments in the field of expertise to recommend suitable solutions
Use your experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes
Serve as an agile product owner, ensuring our software development projects align with customer needs and adhere to agile scrum methodologies
Analyze, validate, and verify data to support business needs, understanding where it is created, read, updated, and deleted
Coordinate with staff, vendors, and customers to understand business requirements and design data architecture, solutions, and processes
Support the definition of road maps and portfolios of change that reflect business strategy and performance objectives
Lead the development of processes including models (conceptual, logical, and physical)
Deliver customized reports and recommendations to support ongoing business decisions and customer reporting requirements
Establish strong relationships with teams across the business
Requirements
Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking.
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and their application in product development.
Demonstrated expertise in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.
Experience in database management and operations.
Knowledge of EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) systems.
Proficiency in using the 'About Time' software for time tracking and project management.
Experience in AB Testing to optimize product performance and user experience.
Strong customer service skills, with an emphasis on building and maintaining customer relationships.
Demonstrated ability in design thinking and translating user needs into product features.
Engineering background, preferably in a field related to the product's domain.
