Property Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned properties, including maintenance, tenant relations, and leasing.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Manage rent collection, accounting, and financial reporting for the properties.
- Handle all aspects of the Section 8 voucher program, including processing applications, coordinating with the Housing Authority, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
- Facilitate the intake and move-in process for Section 8 tenants, including conducting inspections and preparing necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation to the Housing Authority.
- Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Mediate disputes between tenants and manage eviction proceedings if necessary.
- Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
- Advertise available properties, show units to prospective tenants, and conduct lease signings.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants.
- Maintain occupancy rates and manage lease renewals.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including fair housing laws and Section 8 requirements.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on property performance, occupancy, and financial status.
- Maintain up-to-date records for all aspects of property management, including lease agreements, tenant files, and maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for property maintenance and repairs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in property management, with a strong focus on Section 8 voucher programs.
- In-depth knowledge of Section 8 regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
