Compensation: $20.00 to $23.00 hourly
Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client seeking a Purchasing Assistant. As the Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing department. For this Purchasing Assistant position, excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required. The ideal Purchasing Assistant will have previous purchasing or procurement experience and a desire to advance their career. This Purchasing Assistant position could be perfect for you if you are looking to start your career within procurement.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry of purchase orders daily
- Provides exceptional customer service when working with vendors and suppliers
- Ensure all departments have appropriate inventory levels
- Ensure that received orders have all necessary information
- Aid in any additional duties of the purchasing department
- Must be very organized and skilled in documentation
- Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and inventory management software programs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
- Must have strong research skills and excellent analytical thinking
- Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
