We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our client's team as a Reimbursement Manager. As a Reimbursement Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of healthcare reimbursement, with a specific focus on Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare-related finance, reimbursement, and accounting, with at least 5 years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Reimbursement Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of healthcare reimbursement, ensuring compliance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and regulations.
- Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports: Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, ensuring adherence to reporting requirements and guidelines.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis of healthcare reimbursement data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to develop and maintain reimbursement budgets, forecasts, and projections.
- Compliance and Audit: Monitor reimbursement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, performing regular internal audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports related to reimbursement activities, including variance analysis, to management and stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, accounting, and revenue cycle teams to provide guidance and support on reimbursement matters, ensuring alignment and consistency across departments.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay up-to-date with changes in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement policies, guidelines, and regulations, and provide recommendations on necessary adjustments to processes and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancements in reimbursement operations, implementing best practices and standardized procedures.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior reimbursement staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work output.
