Job Title: Reimbursement Manager (Healthcare Finance)


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our client's team as a Reimbursement Manager. As a Reimbursement Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of healthcare reimbursement, with a specific focus on Medicare and Medicaid cost reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare-related finance, reimbursement, and accounting, with at least 5 years of experience in the field.


Responsibilities:

  1. Reimbursement Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of healthcare reimbursement, ensuring compliance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines and regulations.
  2. Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports: Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, ensuring adherence to reporting requirements and guidelines.
  3. Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis of healthcare reimbursement data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to develop and maintain reimbursement budgets, forecasts, and projections.
  5. Compliance and Audit: Monitor reimbursement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, performing regular internal audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  6. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports related to reimbursement activities, including variance analysis, to management and stakeholders.
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, accounting, and revenue cycle teams to provide guidance and support on reimbursement matters, ensuring alignment and consistency across departments.
  8. Regulatory Updates: Stay up-to-date with changes in Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement policies, guidelines, and regulations, and provide recommendations on necessary adjustments to processes and procedures.
  9. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancements in reimbursement operations, implementing best practices and standardized procedures.
  10. Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior reimbursement staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work output.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare-related finance, reimbursement, or accounting, with a focus on Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement regulations, guidelines, and cost report requirements.
  4. Strong understanding of healthcare finance and accounting principles, including revenue recognition, financial analysis, and budgeting.
  5. Proficiency in financial software and tools used for reimbursement analysis and reporting.
  6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  7. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations, reports, and submissions.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  9. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders.
  10. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading and developing a team.
