We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager to join our team in Graham, Texas. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare industry. You will be involved in various aspects of accounting, auditing, and revenue cycle management.
Responsibilities
Sr. Revenue Cycle Lead (contract position):
- Scrub the accounts to identify actual issues, such as true credit balance, the difference of the rebill that needs to be manually applied, or collections requirement.
- Monitor changes in Medicare Outstanding (O/S) days and take appropriate actions to maintain a healthy cycle.
- Oversee the rebilling process of accounts and ensure it does not adversely affect the Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Address issues arising from the conversion to a critical access facility and manage the associated impact on the revenue cycle.
- Work closely with the clearing house to fix claims, reroute them back for collection or call on.
- Handle EDI remit posting, ensuring the claim and remit advice is correctly posted to the patient's account.
- Utilize MEDITECH 6.3 for auto posting and manage issues arising from its inability to handle rebills.
- Oversee the process of recognizing monthly revenue and manage any discrepancies arising from the rebill process.
- Manage the hospital revenue cycle, ensuring the balance before the rebill is accurately reflected in the books.
- Conduct a regular audit of billing functions and claim administration to ensure compliance with Medicare Billing norms and regulations.
- Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in Auditing
- Skilled in Billing Functions
- Knowledge of Claim Administration
- Familiar with MEDITECH software
- Understanding of Government Payors
- Experience with Medicare Claim handling
- Knowledgeable in Medicare Billing
- Skilled in Credit - Collections
- Experience in Hospital Revenue Cycle management
