Security Manager

Summary

A reputable Christian organization is seeking an Information Security Manager to establish and maintain strategic information security controls across the institution. This role is essential for protecting information systems and ensuring compliance with security best practices, policies, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain an information security practice throughout the organization.
• Promote information security awareness, education, and best practices among staff.
• Establish monitoring and performance metrics for security systems.
• Collaborate with the IT team to maintain system and network security standards.
• Identify, prioritize, and track vulnerabilities in university systems.
• Assist in creating disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Implement controls to protect information systems and data.
• Maintain schedules, procedures, and documentation for security projects.
• Serve as the information security expert for IT projects and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Attend relevant conferences and training to stay updated on industry trends.
• Develop and implement infrastructure security best practices.
  
  
  

Requirements

Must Have

• Strong commitment to the organization’s Christ-centered mission and values.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in information security or a related area.
• Extensive knowledge of information systems, security infrastructure, and architecture.
• Proficiency with current security tools and processes, such as NESSUS and Web-Inspect.

• Formal project management experience.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to risk analysis.
• Experience managing security and network solutions.
