We are seeking a dedicated remote, part-time and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Marina del Rey, California. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the financial management, reporting of assigned clients, and daily operations of their accounting departments. This role also requires managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger management and compliance with GAAP.Responsibilities:• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month, quarter, and year-end financial statement closing process.• Manage general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP.• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, bank & credit card feeds, and bank deposits.• Process payroll, withholding tax, W2 and 1099 compliance.• Perform month-end close & update balance sheet and reporting schedules.• Draft financial statements for client CEO in coordination with Managing Partners.• Organize client communications and documents, and keep client data current and SharePoint files and Google Drive filing systems up to date.• Perform and communicate month-end variance analysis to support decision-making.• Review, prepare, and file all monthly and quarterly payroll and sales & use tax returns.• Gather data for CPA reporting, audit readiness, and compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.• Participate in regular, collaborative video meetings to ensure alignment for success.• Demonstrate confidence in learning and embracing new technology to solve client issues.
