Responsibilities:
- Provides financial subject matter expertise and support for the preparation of the annual corporate business plan and quarterly financial projections related to the areas of responsibility.
- Performs detailed analysis and prepares reports on warranty and recall campaign-related activity.
- Utilizes all available claims data to calculate and enter necessary journal entries to facilitate the accounting close.
- Develop and present financial and operational reports and estimates to finance and business leadership stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with JSOX, IFRS, and accounting policy requirements.
Requirements
The ideal Senior Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Senior Accountant position include and are not limited to:
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and accounting analysis.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word).
- Experience with financial software systems such as Qlik, GL Wand, and Essbase preferred.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-resolution abilities.
