Splunk is the world’s leading technology platform for capturing the power of unstructured data for delivering compelling outcomes tied to security, IT operations, application observability, and other use cases. Robert has an immediate need for a contact Splunk Admin for an onsite contract role in Southbay. In this role the administrator will be responsible for managing the clients Splunk instance as well as training on Splunk best practices.
- As a Splunk Administrator, you will serve as a Splunk SME (Subject Matter Expert) at the client site.
- You will be responsible for developing and operationalizing the Splunk environment in order to drive adoption and positive business outcomes.
- Using a consultative approach, you will serve as a trusted advisor and provide innovative ideas to drive their Splunk instance forward.
Requirements
Preferred requirements
- 2 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration on Windows or UNIX platforms (RH Linux, SUSE Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, or equivalent)
- Possess experience with client/server communications privacy using private key infrastructure (PKI)
- Experience using regex (regular expressions) with scripting
- Splunk experience including, but not limited to, Splunk Administration, Splunk Search Processing language, Splunk Reporting, and Dashboard Creation
- 2 years’ experience in Windows scripting (batch, VBScript, Powershell) with at least two (2) years of experience with these technologies
- At least 2 years of experience in Linux scripting (SH, BASH, KSH)
- Technical degree or 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Splunk User, Administration, Architect Certification is a plus
