Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a Construction company in Thornton to place their next Sr Accountant! This Sr Accountant position offers great professional growth opportunity, a collaborative company culture, amazing benefits, and is paying up to $90K!
The Sr Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual general ledger account reconciliations including prepaid, intangibles, accruals
- Assisting in the management of monthly/quarterly/yearly accounting close process including journal entry and account reconciliations
- Ensuring complete, accurate and timely financial reporting
- Fixed asset management and reconciliations
- Lease accounting journal entries and reconciliations according to ASC 842
- Assisting in successful audits with internal and external auditors
- Ensuring SOX compliance, and all accounting policies and procedures
Requirements for the Sr Accountant include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of full cycle GL accounting experience
- Experience working with internal or external auditors
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with large ERP systems, preferably Sage
- Working knowledge of SOX compliance is nice to have
- Experience with process improvement/process implementation
