Compensation: $90000.00 to $115000.00 yearly
Are you looking to take your career to the next level as a finance professional? Robert Half has partnered with a global organization looking to add a Senior GAAP Accountant to their growing team. This role will support the financial reporting function, assist with technical accounting, financial analysis, SOX compliance and certain month-end close activities. This is a high-exposure opportunity to work closely with executive level members on the Accounting team. There is an immediate growth path in this position! This is a permanent, hybrid opportunity located in the greater Hamden, CT area.
Responsibilities
- Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
- Assist with setup and management of Quarterly and Annual financial reports under US GAAP
- Assist with technical accounting research and assessments under US GAAP
- Assist with managing SOX compliance/ internal audit function
- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Assist in driving process improvements
- Deliver monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Related
- 5-7 years of relevant experience (SOX, month end close, GAAP), ideally including Big 4 public accounting experience and/or in a public company reporting or corporate accounting role
- Proficient in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation, etc.)
- CPA is a plus!
