This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To be successful, candidates need to be highly adept at analytics and working in challenging, fast-paced environments. This Senior Accountant role is based in Napa, California with a company in the Insurance field. The company is proud to offer excellent compensation, as well as benefits and advancement opportunities.What you get to do every day- Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives- Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP- Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting- Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors- Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
