Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Investment Accountant position with a large family office in Reno. The role role is part of a team that performs all accounting, reconciliation, record keeping, and investment performance reporting for diversified investment portfolios that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets.
Process monthly investment transactions and reconcile internal reports against the custodian and manager records
Review general ledger and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed
Assist in the preparation of lead sheets and accounting schedules related to the quarterly and annual financial statements
Able to answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Identify opportunities to improve business processes, recommending changes
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as requested
Eligible candidates should have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
CPA preferred or minimum of 2 to 4 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on accounting data analytics (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Requirements
- Proficient in ERP systems
- Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
- 3 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with public accounting experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
