Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant with previous accounting experience who is interested in working with an esteemed Financial Services firm. In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates should enjoy analytical tasks, challenges, and fast-paced environments. Located in Northbrook, Illinois, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Financial Services field. You will also have the chance for growth.Major responsibilities- Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting- Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.- Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external- Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required- Partake in various department-wide initiatives- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations- Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process- Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
