Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for permanent employment in the CHESTERFIELD, Michigan area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
- Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
- Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
- Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of month end closings
- Monthly Sales Tax experience required
- Advanced Excel/ Pivot Table VLOOKUP experience
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
- 3 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with public accounting experience
- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
