As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
- Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
- Other projects as necessary
- Continually improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
- Take part in various department-wide initiatives
- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
- Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
- Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Requirements
- Proficiency in year-end closings
- Foundational knowledge in bank reconciliations
- Experience with cash reconciliations
- Comprehensive knowledge of Balance Sheets
- Proven knowledge of auditing
- Work Papers experience required
- Well-founded grasp of Standard Operation Procedure
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
- Current and relevant ERP system experience
- We're looking for people with financial reporting systems proficiency
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
- Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
- A strong track record of communicating, both verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
- Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
