Sr. Accountant

There's currently an opening for a permanent Senior Accountant to bring their knowledge and expertise to a growing company in the Food & Food Processing industry in the San Pedro, California area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is located in San Pedro, California.What you get to do every day- Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner- Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process- Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors- Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives- Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary- Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting- Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
