Job Title: Senior Accountant (Consultant)Location: Salt Lake CityDuration: 3-6 months, potential for extensionOverview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in a consulting role, working with one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in General Ledger (GL) functions, journals, accruals, and financial analysis. This position is crucial as the client recently transitioned to NetSuite, and the consultant will play a key role in cleanup activities.Responsibilities:NetSuite Cleanup: Utilize expertise in NetSuite to clean up and optimize financial data and processes.Sales and Use Tax Expertise: Assist in amending tax returns in up to 4 states, requiring a solid understanding of Sales and Use tax regulations.ERP Experience: Previous experience with NetSuite is a significant advantage. Familiarity with Vertex, Sage, and/or Avalara is a plus.Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision-making processes and identify areas for improvement.Excel Proficiency: Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Excel, including data verification using pivots and lookups.Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to create and update financial processes, contributing to the goal of achieving a 7-day month-end close.Collaboration: Work closely with the Controller and VP of Finance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.Immediate Availability: Be able to start immediately, with availability during the end of December.Work Environment:The role can be 100% onsite, with at least 4 days onsite during training.After training, there is flexibility for remote work, but the consultant should plan on being onsite for the majority of the time.Immediate availability is required.
