Robert Half is partnering with a high-end estate looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. The Food & Beverage- Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing and analyzing financial data for Food & Beverage (F& B), Banquets, and Catering operations. This position will work closely with ownership, the F& B Director, and the Finance Director to ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and decision-making within these areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and a deep understanding of F& B cost management.Essential Job Responsibilities:Analyze F& B, Banquets, and Catering cost structures, develop annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor performance against those budgets to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.Oversee inventory control processes, including tracking, reconciling, and reporting on F& B inventory levels. Implement strategies to reduce waste and optimize inventory turnover.Prepare regular cost reports for F& B, Banquets, and Catering, providing detailed insights into cost trends, variances, and recommendations for improvement.Collaborate with culinary and sales teams to assess the profitability of menu items and catering packages.Investigate and report on variances between actual and expected costs, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.Evaluate vendor contracts, negotiate terms, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of products and services.Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls in F& B cost management.Assist in the month-end closing process, including reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and producing accurate financial statements.
