Sr. Accountant

Robert Half's trusted client is seeking a Sr. Accountant Consultant for a long-term project. The role is pivotal in our team, focusing on various accounting and financial tasks. The individual will be heavily involved in tasks such as month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. This hybrid position will report directly to the Sr. Director of Accounting and Finance.

The Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• Execute monthly closing procedures, including tasks related to prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and depreciation
• Provide necessary support for financial reporting tasks, including assisting in the compilation of footnotes
• Assist the revenue team with data compilation and workbook creation
• Conduct account reconciliations using Blackline, ensuring to continue from the previous month's reconciliations
• Identify and understand discrepancies or irregularities in account reconciliations
• Engage in ad-hoc support tasks, particularly during quarter-end close financial reporting
• Operate software such as Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
• Conduct journal entries and maintain the general ledger accurately
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliation procedures
• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently.
  
  
  

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

• Holds a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• Possesses 5 or more years of experience in a senior accounting role
• Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Experience with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Sage Intacct
• Demonstrates ability to handle Month End Close procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
