The Senior Buyer will be a key player in the procurement process, responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating logistics related to the receiving and warehousing of finished goods, and fostering strong relationships with our network of vendors. This role is integral to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our supply chain while upholding the highest standards of product quality.Responsibilities:Purchase Order Management:Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies.Generate and manage purchase orders, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to accurately forecast demand and inventory needs.Monitor and track order status to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.Logistics Coordination:Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline the receiving and warehousing processes for finished goods.Oversee the efficient flow of products from suppliers to our facilities, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in the logistics and warehousing functions.Vendor Relationship Management:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and address any issues or concerns promptly.Work closely with vendors to identify potential new suppliers and assess their capabilities.Quality Assurance:Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all purchased materials meet the required standards and specifications.Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues with suppliers, implementing corrective actions as needed.Cost Management:Analyze market trends and industry benchmarks to identify cost-saving opportunities.Negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve the best possible value for the company.Monitor and control procurement-related expenses to meet budgetary objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the medical, scientific or manufacturing industry.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software.Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities.If you are a results-driven professional with a passion for ensuring the highest standards in the procurement process, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our client.
