Protiviti is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Senior Compliance Officer for a project. On this temporary to permanent assignment, you will be tasked with assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of one of our banking client's Compliance Management Systems (CMS) designed to ensure prudent risk management and compliance with consumer compliance and other designated regulations.
What you get to do every single day:
- Improve compliance policies and related documentation.
- Create and execute new compliance policies and procedures as required.
- Examine internal operational and procedural compliance.
- Research industry compliance regulations and policies.
- Pass along compliance policies and guidelines to Management and designated departments.
- Responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and approving marketing programs, ad copy, Internet website content, and other materials as assigned.
- Review and evaluate compliance monitoring data as well as Audit Department and regulatory examination findings for trends, potential/actual issues, training needs, and potential corrective actions.
- Assist in the administration of assigned compliance programs that include relevant, ongoing risk assessments and evaluations of management’s monitoring and/or other compliance testing processes. Coordinate and track responses to complaints; and analyze complaints for trends, systemic issues, or unfair practices.
Requirements
This remote opportunity is accepting candidates only from one of these locations: Northern California, the state of Washington, Oregon, or Idaho.
- Strong understanding of industry compliance requirements and standards. Excellent communication and research skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Law is required.
- 5 or more years of recent compliance experience in bank auditing, lending, operations, regulatory examination, loan review, or as a bank legal counsel is required.
- Intermediate or Advanced analytical abilities and proficiency in the Compliance Management System (CMS) are required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification is a plus.
Salary : $70,000 - $115,000
