The Sr. Financial Analyst will aid in financial planning, budgeting, management reporting, and financial analysis. You will work closely with various departments to establish financial objectives, monitor performance, and provide analytical support.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to aid in strategic planning, leveraging historical data, market trends, and operational metrics to forecast future performance.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets and objectives.
- Regularly generate financial reports for senior management, presenting complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and pricing analysis.
- Create financial forecasts based on various scenarios and assumptions to evaluate the potential impact of different business decisions, providing recommendations to management based on these analyses.
- Collaborate with other departments such as sales, marketing, operations, and HR to understand their financial needs and provide analytical support.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysis.
- Assess financial risks and support the development of strategies to mitigate them, evaluating currency risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, and other financial exposures.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the team, providing training and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analysis role within the manufacturing industry
- Proficient in business systems, Confluence, CRM, Crystal Reports, and Data Mining Techniques
- Extensive knowledge of accounting functions and auditing
- Experience with budget processes and capital management
- Demonstrable experience in preparing financial reports and conducting detailed analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or CMA is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
