What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Manager FP&A position at Robert Half?
This is a key member of the local leadership team, identifying and establishing process improvements in a fast-growing and active business environment while managing a small accounting and payroll team. Previous aviation-related work experience, education and/or training is preferred.
Financial accounting in US GAAP and potentially IFRS. Controlling and reporting according to company standards. Preparation and reporting on monthly actuals vs forecast/Plan, including a monthly reporting package to management highlighting key metrics and results. Preparation of monthly P& L and Balance Sheet forecast. Monthly closing reporting of actuals. Establishment of detailed annual 5-yr Plan in collaboration with sales, account management and production. Presentation of assumptions and Plan summary to GM and Board of Directors. Leading the accounting function and team. Supporting company financial related functions through suitable administrative tools, procedures, and IT applications. Management of local financing and treasury requirements. Management of tax matters (local and cross-border) in close cooperation with the central tax department at the World headquarters, and assurance of compliance with finance and taxation audits. Establishment of financial proforma in support of business proposals to customers (including business case calculations) and invoicing in collaboration with account management, sales and production teams. Supporting ad hoc requests as needed. Compliance with FAA and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. • 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in the delivery and execution of a robust Financial • Solid background in accounting and FP& A with adequate years of applicable detail oriented experience to accomplish the duties and responsibilities listed above. • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with ability to derive insights from data analysis. • Demonstrated proficiency in talent management and development. • Ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative environment with all stakeholders. • Effective in a data-driven, fast-paced and often ambiguous entrepreneurial environment. • Self-directed and resourceful, able to prioritize work and manage multiple projects. • Strong proficiency with IT and computer systems and tools; experience with Quantum software preferred but not required. • Experience in a matrix organization. • Intercultural business experience a strong plus.
