Exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Property Tax Analyst with an O& G Company in Houston. Looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience and a strong background in multi-state property tax compliance. The Senior Property Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing property tax compliance for oil & gas assets in multiple states.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee property tax compliance in multiple states
- Prepare and file property tax returns, appeals, and other related documents
- Conduct property tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with all state and local regulations
- Communicate with tax authorities to resolve any issues or disputes related to property tax assessments or filings
- Monitor property tax assessments and identify potential areas for appeal or reduction
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on property tax matters
- Review and analyze property tax assessments and invoices to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
- Maintain and update property tax schedules and records
- Keep up-to-date with property tax laws and regulations in all relevant states
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in property tax compliance, with a focus on multi-state property tax
- Strong understanding of property tax laws and regulations in multiple states
- Experience with property tax software (e.g. PTMS, OneSource Property Tax, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
