We are on the lookout for a Staff Accountant to join our team. You will play a critical role in the financial operations of our organization, with a focus on customer and vendor transactions, financial records maintenance, and accounting procedures improvement. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:• Process and handle customer invoices and credit memos on a daily basis• Ensure the accuracy of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) detail ledger accounts, reporting any irregularities• Respond to billing inquiries from customers and vendors in a timely and courteous manner• Monitor customer collections and delinquencies, sending statements for past due accounts• Compile bank deposits and input them into the system each day• Conduct research and process customer credit applications as needed• Process vendor invoices daily in line with controls and prepare weekly check run• Manage and report on corporate credit card usage• Develop and maintain a fixed asset & depreciation schedule, monitoring spending on capital projects• Assist in monthly bank and account reconciliations• Prepare financial records and analysis as required• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures, control, and process improvements• Ensure compliance with internal controls• Undertake other accounting, financial, and administrative tasks as required.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
