Staff Accountant

Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. If you are interested in this role, please contact Melissa Tree at 808.452.0254 What you get to do every day- Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries- Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives- Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision- Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
