What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Engineer IT position at Robert Half?
Robert Half is partnering with a company in Culver City seeking a Systems Engineer to join its growing team! This position is NOT remote. Must be able to work onsite. The ideal candidate will help drive the development of concepts of operation, system architecture (including functional and physical architectures), system requirements, and system interfaces for various company products. Active Directory and Deployments experience required.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct and keep an eye on all installed systems and infrastructure
- Take preventive measures to confirm the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Configure, test, maintain, and install application software, system management tools, and operating systems
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Provide backup, redundancy strategies, and security
- Oversee and review application performance for potential bottlenecks, define possible solutions, and join forces with developers to realize those fixes
- Play a part in the design of information and operational support systems
- Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Requirements
- This position will be the best fit for a candidate with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
- If you have experience with automation software, you will be strongly preferred for this position
- You might be a good fit for this position if you have experience with monitoring systems
- Applicants who have experience with virtualization and containerization are preferred
- Deployments experience
- Configuration management experience required
- Adeptness in Hardware configuration

- Firewall administration experience
- Solid networking knowledge is required for success at this position

Salary : $60,000 - $110,000
