Your responsibilities
- Grant 2nd and 3rd level support
- Assert backup, security, and redundancy strategies
- Install, maintain, configure, and test operating systems, application software and system management tools
- Lend a hand to the design of information and operational support systems
- Note and support custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Be actively involved to assure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Conduct and keep an eye on all installed systems and infrastructure
- Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Observe and verify application performance for potential bottlenecks, mark possible solutions, and join with developers to instrument those fixes
Requirements
- This position will be the best fit for a candidate who has solid scripting skills
- Applicants who have experience with virtualization and containerization are preferred
- This position will be the best fit for a candidate who has experience with automation software
- It is preferred for applicants to have experience with monitoring systems
- If you have proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting various operating systems, you will be strongly preferred for this position
- Applicants who have solid networking knowledge are preferred
- Windows Server 2019 experience desired
- Applicants with solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks are preferred
