Robert Half is seeking a Tax Accountant to support a national tax software organization. The successful candidate will work closely with program developers to interpret new and updated tax laws across the country. The Tax Accountant is responsible for developing high-quality and accurate tax content and integrating this information within our tax software.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Research and implement complex federal and state tax laws to ensure changes translate effectively into our software.
Receive and compare updates from states to the previous year and make necessary adjustments in the system
Compose "plain talk" questions to assist users in completing their tax returns.
Write and review tax case scenarios to ensure tax calculations implemented in the software are accurate and up to date.
Partner closely with the form developers and the IRS/State agencies to ensure timely certifications for forms and e-files.
Become the subject matter expert in a specific area assigned by the team manager
Maintain a high level of customer focus, providing enhancements that will lead to a beneficial and helpful customer experience.
