What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Preparer position at Robert Half?
1. Prepare or maintain tax records, reports and analysis in Excel, based on established policies and procedures.
2. Complete and file all state and local tax returns, including sales & use, property, etc.
3. Research state and local tax regulations, identify and report on their application, and work with Senior Tax & Regulatory Accountant and management in implementing tax filing process changes.
4. Complete and file federal, state and local regulatory reports, including SOS annual reports, Census Bureau reports, DMV filings, etc.
5. Research federal, state and local fleet, environmental, and other regulations, identify and report on their application, and work with Senior Tax & Regulatory Accountant in implementing necessary process changes.
6. Perform sales tax reconciliations as it relates to multi state-multi entity regulatory filings
7. Assists in audits with various regulatory agencies
8. Performs additional duties as required and requested.
