Description
Our reputable client is seeking a Tax Accountant to join the company. The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Are you a deadline driven Tax Accountant in public accounting with excellent organization and attention to detail? Then this may be the role for you!
Main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Prepare and Review business and personal tax returns for small business clients from initial meeting through delivery, filing of returns, and sometimes communicate with the IRS.
• Communicate with clients
• Record tax entries into accounting software
• Understand and apply tax reduction strategies
• Preparation and/or review of financial statements
Requirements

Bachelors or master's degree in accounting or relevant field required

1 years of current public tax accounting experience

CPA or candidate highly preferred

Excellent organizational skills

Basic Knowledge of the tax code for individuals and small businesses

Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures

QuickBooks software experience
