What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Accounting and SOX Compliance position at Robert Half?
We have an opportunity for a Technical Accounting and SOX Compliance Manager to join our corporate controlling team. General responsibilities will include support of technical accounting and global accounting policy matters across the company and SOX. In the role you will work cross-functionally, collaborate and work on continuous improvement initiatives. Further, the role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Company's compliance with Section 404 of SOX.
You will:
•Be a valued and integral part of the organization, engaging with various levels of leadership
•Be key resource on technical accounting topics; support business units and Corporate with technical accounting questions/issues; identify, research, recommend and document conclusions to complex accounting issues and transactions
•Lead implementation efforts of new accounting pronouncements
•Assist with development of new systems, processes, and controls for the on-going accounting of new pronouncements
•Stay abreast of changes in SEC and PCAOB requirements, US GAAP, and SOX and COSO requirements
•Manage the documentation, review and maintenance of the company-wide policies and procedures
•Provides technical accounting support and guidance for complex business transactions
•Interface with finance leaders, Controllers and Internal Audit as a collaborator ensuring cohesive direction is achieved relative to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance and accounting policy compliance
•Assist in the development and implementation of financial standards and internal control across the organization
•Work with the external and internal auditors
•Identifies process improvements in the accounting process and plays a key role in current improvement initiatives.
