Complex Machine Operator
GENERAL SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Primary duties include setting up and running Machine Operator completing work order with, some programming setting up the machine, locate material to produce the finished good materials, conducting quality checks while following safety protocols and maintaining a safe workspace. Ability to operate the following machines: CNC’s – EPD/Mill, Hot-Melts (Profile wrappers) – Wrap, Backing machine – Wrap, Molders – Mill, Panel Saws – EPD/Mill
Coordinate production with minimal supervision and help lead the production line.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and restock the machine to keep the line moving, with minimal supervision.
- Filling sample sheet (collect a small sample to go back to check any costumer complained from running the wrong film).
- Review work orders to determine any special instructions, stock specifications, colors, or quantities to be produced. Read blue prints.
- Assist set up machine to run production workorders
- Responsible for machine specific functions in setting up the machine, loading materials, and operating machinery.
- Required to monitor operating efficiency to maintain the machine.
- Paying attention to detail. Quality check random samples and inspect them during production runs to determine if any adjustments to the machine needs to be made and adjust as needed.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Support on-time order fulfillment by completing assigned tasks in an efficient manner.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Read and write work orders
- Read Blueprints
- Basic Math Skills
- Skilled in programming of equipment and Technology/automation
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, stand for 10-12 hours, push/pull/lift min. 35 pounds
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance and comply with all safety, company policies, and procedures
PREFERRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrate reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, health department standards, and regulations.
- Prefer a minimum of one year in a warehouse environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and attention to details
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
